Rita Verreos

Rita Verreos

Rita Verreos
TV Host, Model, and Actress

Rita Verreos began her modeling and beauty pageant career in her teens and won her first title as a finalist in the Miss Venezuela pageant when she was 18. Her passion and talent for the industry has led her to fulfill titles in numerous beauty pageants and contests and to eventually create her own company, Image In, Inc. where she works as an image consultant specializing in coaching girls for the Miss Texas, Miss California, and Miss USA pageants. Recently she coached a contestant who won Mrs. Texas International. In 2006, she coached Miss California, Tamiko Nash, who placed first runner-up to Miss USA, and 2007’s Miss California, Megan Tandy, who placed fourth. Rita also judges many of the Miss USA state pageants.

The media is no stranger to Rita’s career; most recently, Rita appeared as a castaway on the hit reality television series, Survivor Fiji, hosted by CBS. Currently she hosts her own television show, En Nuestro Hogar, on cable’s Azteca America and Telemundo. She was also a television spokesperson for both H-E-B Plus! and the World Car Auto Group in San Antonio and Austin, Texas. Other achievements include being selected as a semi-finalist for CMT’s show The Search for the Ultimate CoyoteUgly in February 2006 and being named as one of San Antonio’s Hottest Latinas by Connexion, a magazine of the San Antonio Express News, in 2004. She’s also been featured in magazines and advertisements circulated in San Antonio, Houston, and Mexico City. This year she was awarded the Outstanding Women in Action Achievement in Entertainment award from the La Prensa Foundation, Inc., an organization that celebrates the achievements of women with Hispanic heritage.

Rita is proud of her charity participation across the country. She serves on several boards of directors for charities in San Antonio and has also participated in charities in Michigan, Kentucky, New York, and Ohio. She also regularly serves as an emcee—her latest involvement was in California and Boston hosting a fashion show for the Ovarian Cancer Association, and hosting the Hispanic Heritage Awards this past March.

As a business owner and mother of two, Rita is constantly on the go, she drinks TAHITIAN NONI® Juice to keep her looking and feeling her best throughout the day. In addition, thanks to her participation on Survivor Fiji, Rita has added multiple appearance and travel activities to her schedule. She explains, “My body is my temple. Drinking TAHITIAN NONI Juice is a wonderful and natural way to maintain my health and energy. I also take the Tahiti Trim® Plan 40® vitamins and minerals to make sure that I am giving my body all the nutrients it needs,”  Lately, I need all the energy I can get, so thank you Tahitian Noni International for HIRO™ Energy!”

Born in Venezuela, Rita moved to San Francisco when she was a child. She attended UC Berkeley before transferring to the University of California Los Angeles where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Italian and French Literature. She has traveled extensively through Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Europe, and has walked the fashion runways of Venezuela, Mexico, and Los Angeles. A successful business owner, Rita most enjoys playing with her children, cooking, listening to “world” music, reading, and writing in foreign languages.
