22-08-07 The Do Something Good Programme

The “Do Something Good Programme” is our chance to give back to a country and people that have done so much to help get TNI & its PCs where we are today.

The “Do Something Good” program is a charity initiative by Tahitian Noni International Inc. and the Morinda Holding Inc. and aimed to improve the lives of the children and people of Tahiti. The island and people of Tahiti have been major contributors to our company’s accomplishments and success.  This is why Tahitian Noni International has decided to create a donation program designed to raise money for the people and children of Tahiti in need.

The Do Something Good initiative consists of four objectives:

v       Refurbished Computers for Schools

Computer literacy is a very important part of learning and development, especially in today’s technical world. In order to provide the schools of Tahiti with the resources they need to familiarize children with the skills they will require to compete in future careers Tahitian Noni International is refurbishing computers and sending them to schools throughout French Polynesia.

Your donation will enable TNI to provide hundreds of refurbished machines that help improve learning for thousands of Tahitian school children of all ages.

v       Student textbooks

Reading is not only a necessary skill to complete school. It is a skill that is essential to your live. Because basic textbooks, library books and other reading materiel is critical needed TNI will donate books to school libraries and text books to school children in need.

v       Student scholarships

Scholarships should be made available to harvesters and their children to give them the opportunity to achieve an advanced education.

Through the Do Something Good scholarship program, TNI is able to help these people to realize the dream of getting a college education.

v       Improving Life at Orphanages

An orphanage near our processing facility in Tahiti currently has 52 children that are in need of food, clothes, bedding and playground equipment. The Do Something Good program will provide these children with the necessities to better their lives.

However, under UK law TNI UK Ltd. is prohibited from collecting charitable donations.  To get around it, would have to set up a separate legal entity, appoint a minimum of 3 trustees, have separate accounting records and incur extra fees by registering with government bodies.  We feel that all these extra costs could be better spent on those who are in need.  Consequently, rather than setting up a costly new charity in the UK, we would like to invite you to make donations directly to our US programme to help our Tahitian children.

Please have a look at our US website for more information on this initiative.  Unfortunately we cannot grant IPCs “Gift Aid” for these donations but every penny you donate will be paid in full to the children of our beautiful Tahitian islands.

Anything you give will be deeply appreciated. And 100% of your donation is used to fund these initiatives; there are no administrative fees of any kind.

Imagine what we can accomplish together. How many scholarships can we give? How many libraries can we fill? How many smiles can we bring to deserving children? So let's band together to Do Something Good today.
