Ian Adamson
Seven-time World Champion Adventure Racer
Ian Adamson is the only seven-time world champion adventure racer, boasting three Eco-Challenge and three Primal Quest wins. He is also the current (and three-time) world record holder for endurance kayaking, paddling 262 miles in 24 hours down the Yukon River in Canada.
The rigorous physical and mental demands of adventure racing are extremely punishing on an athlete’s body, so Ian drinks TAHITIAN NONI® Juice to aid in maintenance during training and racing.
"There is no question that TAHITIAN NONI Juice helps me maintain a high level of training and racing in environments and conditions that are beyond extreme. As I head towards my mid-forties, my recovery is slower and I am more prone to injury. TAHITIAN NONI supplements including Hoa Complete and Omega 3, 6, 9 Blend are an essential part of my diet and keep me healthy for competition and life.”
Adventure racing requires coed teams of three or four to navigate extreme distances 24 hours a day through remote wilderness settings using only non-motorized transport. Races can be more than 700 miles long and may include running, mountaineering, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, in-line skating, horseback riding, and climbing.
Read Ian’s highly acclaimed instructional book—Runner's World Guide to Adventure Racing—available through major book stores and Amazon.com. This comprehensive guide provides an expert's view of adventure sports, and includes fascinating history and background on multi-sports, human endurance, and adventure racing.
