Richard Rife, General Counsel

Richard Rife serves as general counsel and corporate secretary of Morinda Holdings, Inc., the parent company of TNI. 

Richard has spent over a decade—twenty percent of his life, in fact—in South Korea, where he worked as an international lawyer and served as an LDS mission president. After law school, he clerked for the Nevada Supreme Court, practiced law in Salt Lake City, and eventually became vice president and deputy general counsel of Novell, Inc., a large software company in Provo, Utah. He also worked as vice president and general counsel of Caldera Systems, Inc.

Richard graduated from Brigham Young University in 1977 with a B.A. degree in English. He received his juris doctor degree from BYU in 1980 and is licensed to practice law in Utah.

He married Janet Parsons in 1976, and they have six children and four grandchildren. Richard enjoys reading, music, and golf.
