TNI China joined the Smokefree Worksite Initiative

The Smokefree Worksite Initiative is seeking to build on this progress and further protect workers from the dangers of tobacco smoke, the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, the National Tobacco Control Office and the American Cancer Society have formed an Executive Committee to carry out the Smokefree Worksite Initiative. The Smokefree Worksite Executive Committee and their supporters are working together to encourage companies to enact 100% Smokefree policies. The Initiative will launch in Beijing in 2008, follow by Shanghai in 2009 and Guangzhou in 2010. It will eventually be a nationwide smokefree initiative in China.
