One Family, Changed

Joan Enriquez-Noguera ’04, California, Double Diamond Pearl

"It would have been crazy for me not to do this," says Joan Enriquez-Noguera of her Tahitian Noni® business. "I was going to tell people about TAHITIAN NONI® Juice anyway."

Joan had struggled with one health concern after another for most of her adult life. She had also cared for her ailing husband for years before he passed away. Joan's parents, too, had health challenges. But once they added TAHITIAN NONI Juice to their diet and made other efforts to live a healthier lifestyle, this family changed so significantly that everyone who knew them noticed.

The real story begins two years after Joan's husband's passing. Joan was at an engagement party for her daughter. "I was sick," Joan recalls. "The kids used to say that when their dad died, their mom died too. I was worn out, and I couldn't cope."

Not long after that party, Joan finally decided to try TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. Terry Sowards had introduced it to her and told her about the health benefits. Cautiously, he didn’t make any promises. He just assured her that it was good for the body, and that she should see what would happen.

Joan did, and she got her parents drinking it as well. Four months later, at her daughter's wedding, Joan felt brand new. So did her parents. "My dad was salsa dancing, my mom was walking freely, and I was a social butterfly."

The impression this family made was so deep that several of the wedding guests showed up at Joan's home that same night. "I walked into my house, and there were 30 people in my den!" Joan exclaims. "They all wanted some of whatever we had."

Still, this 30-year network marketing veteran wasn't necessarily sure she wanted to get into the Tahitian Noni business. "I knew what it would take," Joan laughs.

She and her new husband Humberto attended a convention and looked at the opportunity. "It was awesome," Joan says. "I thought, 'This product is amazing, and people don’t know about it.'" She was in.

Now Joan and Humberto work their Tahitian Noni business together. Although they've found success, Joan's focus is to take care of her now-healthier family. "I'll probably stay in my same house," she says. "I just want to continue to help my parents and my youngest daughter. Without my Tahitian Noni business, I wouldn't be able to."
