Mieka Barlow Editor-in-Chief
Originally from Columbia Falls, Montana, Mieka Barlow is a long-time TNI employee. After earning her degree in 2003, Mieka was given the daunting task of piloting TNI's new recognition and training magazine. With oodles of research and a knack for thinking outside the box, Mieka produced the unparalleled publication we now call Tahiti Tradewinds. In addition to working on the magazine, Mieka also enjoys family time, furniture restoration, and traveling. She and her husband, Paul, live in Lehi, Utah with their dog Sammy.
Shane Smith Associate Editor
A former magazine columnist and BYU graduate, Shane Smith brings a keen eye for editorial excellence and precision to the Tradewinds team. With a BA in Design and extensive writing experience, Shane makes major contributions to the aesthetic and linguistic elements of each issue. On Thursday nights, he's sure to be found watching The Office, his favorite show. Shane also enjoys Chai lattes, indie rock, fitness, and spending time with his wife, Riley.
Jennifer Vance Catalog Coordinator
Former Seattleite Jennifer Vance is a stellar addition to the Tradewinds team with a BA in Advertising and Marketing also from Brigham Young University. With her flair for design and uncanny organizational skills, Jennifer recently took on the task of managing our retail and wholesale catalogs to establish a more consistent look and feel. When she's not perusing the pages of the J. Peterman catalog, Jennifer loves entertaining, imparting her vast life experiences through storytelling, and watching her favorite television show, The Amazing Race.
Kyle Christensen Catalog Marketing Coordinator
A true native of Orange County, Kyle Christensen's adventuresome spirit allows him to reach great heights in his life. Kyle is a graduate from Brigham Young University, with a BA in Advertising and Marketing. Kyle has an extensive background in marketing and business management, and raises the standard for the Tradewinds catalog. Aside from his statistical reports and market research at work, Kyle enjoys playing outdoor volleyball, camping, and traveling with his lovely wife Megan.
