TAHITIAN NONI INTERNATIONAL RECEIVES AWARD FOR BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
Receives the Prestigious Reed Smoot Award
PROVO, UTAH - Tahitian Noni International, developer and exclusive provider of the internationally acclaimed TAHITIAN NONI® Juice, recently received the prestigious Reed Smoot Award for Business of the Year. In the sixteenth annual Outstanding Citizen Awards ceremony, companies and individuals were honored by the Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce for their contributions to the community.
A special citation stated:
“In July of 1996, a Utah-based company named Morinda, Inc., began marketing an organic juice product through a network of private distributors. At face value, Morinda may have appeared to be just another network marketing venture working to create a distributor base of individuals who were willing to take a chance on reorienting their lives, being their own bosses, determining their future, and exploring more lucrative income opportunities.

On hand to accept the award were Kim Asay and Kelly Olsen, both members of the board of Morinda Holdings, Inc.
The Smoot Awards are named in honor of Utah's first U.S. senator, Reed Smoot, who is known for his honesty, loyalty, dedication and service to others.
