Ya-ni Tseng

Professional Golfer

Ya-Ni Tseng, a nineteen-year-old Taiwanese golfer, joined the professional league in January 2007. This month she captured the championship title in the 2008 U.S. LPGA tournament and is the first rookie in 10 years to win a major. Since her professional debut, Tseng has won the titles in the 2008 TLPGA & Royal Open and the 2007 DLF Women's Indian Open in New Delhi, and in August 2007, she was ranked 6th in the 2007 CN Canadian Women’s Open. Tseng’s professional career has a brilliant start and there is a long way to go.

Tseng has participated in golf since her childhood and has played in United States amateur games since she was 14. Her major victories as an amateur golfer were winning the 2004 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship and the 2005 U.S. North–South Amateur title.
